I first met John Fort in the mid 1990's when the development company I was associated with at the time came from Florida to Greenville, SC in search of development opportunities. Our company, Paradise Development, based in Tampa, Florida, conducted preliminary research on the Greenville-Spartanburg market in hopes of developing one or more Walgreens stores in the area. Daniel Fort of First Commercial Realty was subsequently engaged to help us locate and evaluate prospective store sites. Paradise ultimately purchased a 10 acre land parcel in Travelers Rest where we developed the entire site with a completed Walgreens on the corner parcel and ready-to-build retail outparcels for the balance of the property.
